Unveiling The Tesla Cybertruck: Pricing, Range, Trims, and Specifications Uncovered

Tesla has unveiled the pricing, range, trims, and various specifications for the Cybertruck during its delivery event at Gigafactory Texas.

This significant occasion marked the first customer deliveries on Thursday afternoon, marking a historic day for the automaker after a four-year anticipation.

With the event now official, specific details on the Cybertruck's cost, range, initial trim levels, and other crucial specifications that customers eagerly awaited have been revealed.

TESLA CYBERTRUCK PRICING AND TRIM OPTIONS

Initially, the Cybertruck had price points of $39,990, $49,990, and $69,990 for the Single, Dual, and Tri-Motor trim levels, respectively, when it was first revealed four years ago. However, there have been notable changes since then.

Currently, Tesla offers the Cybertruck in the following trim levels, each with its corresponding pricing:

• Tri-Motor “Cyberbeast” – $99,990
• Dual-Motor All-Wheel-Drive – $79,990
• Rear-Wheel-Drive – $60,990

While these prices exceed the initial unveiling, they reflect adjustments in response to macroeconomic shifts over the past four years. Despite the increase, Tesla has managed to maintain a highly competitive pricing point compared to other electric pickups in the market.

TESLA CYBERTRUCK RANGE

Range has been a pivotal and eagerly awaited aspect for potential Cybertruck buyers. Initially, Tesla asserted that the Tri-Motor configuration would provide 500 miles of range, the Dual Motor 300 miles, and the Single Motor 250 miles.

Recent weeks have seen various range estimations, including discussions sparked by MKBHD’s Cybertruck cabin image showing 265 miles of range. However, Tesla has officially confirmed the following range figures:

• Tri-Motor “Cyberbeast” – 320 miles (+Range Extender to 440+ miles)
• Dual-Motor All-Wheel-Drive – 340 miles (+Range Extender to 470+ miles)
• Rear-Wheel-Drive – 250 miles

OTHER NOTABLE FEATURES

Tesla engineered an in-house stainless-steel alloy known for its remarkable durability and resistance to bending. To showcase its strength, Tesla released a video demonstrating the vehicle's ability to deflect numerous firearms, ensuring the safety of its occupants.

The Cybertruck boasts an impressive 11,000-pound towing capacity, showcased by Tesla in a video demonstrating its ability to haul SpaceX equipment. Furthermore, Elon Musk highlighted that the bed is coated with robust composite materials, eliminating the need for a liner.

In a notable performance display, the Cybertruck hire successfully completed a 40,000-pound pull over 318 feet, surpassing competitors such as the Rivian R1T, Ford F-150 Lightning, and Ford F-350 Diesel. Tesla has also incorporated adjustable ride height features, allowing the vehicle to "drive over basically anything," coupled with a substantial 17-inch ground clearance, providing the pickup with exceptional off-roading capabilities.

The addition of steer-by-wire enhances manoeuvrability in tight spaces, offering high capability and low-speed manoeuvrability. This feature significantly contributes to the Cybertruck's ease of navigation.

Demonstrating its prowess, Tesla pitted the Cybertruck rental against a new 2023 Porsche 911 in a quarter-mile test. Impressively, the Cybertruck not only outperformed the Porsche 911 but achieved this feat while towing another Porsche 911 simultaneously. Acceleration metrics for the Cybertruck are as follows:

• Tri-Motor “Cyberbeast” – 0-60 MPH in 2.6 seconds
• Dual-Motor All-Wheel-Drive – 0-60 MPH in 3.9 seconds
• Rear-Wheel-Drive – 0-60 MPH in 6.5 seconds
