MERCEDES-BENZ EQV JOINS EV HIRE FLEET

EV Hire is proud to announce that the Mercedes-Benz EQV Sport Premium has joined the company’s fleet.

The EQV is Mercedes-Benz’s all-electric MPV based on the company’s best-selling V-Class range and is equipped with a 90kWh battery, giving the EQV a range of over 200 miles. Using a rapid charger, the EQV can be charged to 80% capacity within 45 minutes.

Built with a flexible seating arrangement, the Mercedes EQV Hire can accommodate seven passengers. However, the seating can easily be modified to provide additional storage space or, for a more social travel experience, the seats in the second row can be turned through 180 degrees. The cabin is also equipped with a captain’s table, allowing the interior to be turned into a work space or meeting area.

With the focus of the luxury transport sector switching to sustainability and zero emissions, the Mercedes EQV is now in high demand across the industry, especially with the summer events season only weeks away.

EV Hire recently provided a Mercedes EQV Hire to singer-songwriter James Bay when he embarked on a tour of smaller venues across the country in support of Independent Music Week. James was keen to promote zero-emission travel for the tour and EV Hire was delighted to work with his tour management company to provide the most suitable vehicle for the journey which involved almost 2,000 miles of driving.

“I’m proud to say we travelled fully electric – all 1,986 miles of the tour in our trusty EQV!” said James Bay. “Completely green touring still isn’t the easiest thing to achieve but this felt like a significant in the right direction.”
