LAMBORGHINI URUS HIRE: ARRIVAL OF THE PANDA

Over the last few weeks we have been building the hype on our different social media pages for our latest fleet addition – the impressive Lamborghini Urus. So on the 26^th January 2019 we were joined by Paul Wallace from Supercars of London and Andrew from Galaxy89cars at Lamborghini Pangbourne to finally collect one of the very first Lamborghini Urus for self-drive hire in the UK. We started our Urus journey with Paul back in August 2018 when he joined us at Lamborghini Pangbourne to provide some Lamborghini buying support from his previous experience and help us choose a great spec that you all will enjoy as much as us.

On the big day our director Daryl Pearce drove down to Pangbourne with our new Brian James Race Transporter 6 with our Huracan on-board. With this versatile transporter we were able to transport our Huracan to the Lamborghini centre for it’s annual service, while keeping its mileage down and condition as good as possible. However, the versatile nature of our trailer served another purpose that we will come to soon.

Paul and Andrew had already started filming b-roll and introductions for their videos by the time our Director and trailer arrived, which meant everyone was ready for the big reveal! Shortly after our arrival the large, glass showroom doors were slid open, the salesmen took their position at the front of the car and our social media partners found advantageous positions for the perfect angles. When everyone was ready the Lamborghini sales team (that have been fantastic throughout this entire process) bent down, clasped the branded cover just under the front bumper and quickly, but carefully started rolling it back over the car. Cheers were heard around the showroom as our guests, social media partners and director finally came face to face with the spec we chose all those months ago.

And what is that, you might ask? On the outside we chose the flat white known as ‘Bianco Monocerus’ with the optional ‘shiny black style package’ that adds gloss black accents around the front, rear, wing mirrors and wheel arches – a nice contrast to the white paint we feel. Finally on the outside we chose the optional 22inch Silver Nath wheels with red callipers. On the inside we went for an equally clean spec with all black leather and contrast Rosso Alala (red) stitching. The car already comes with a very good ‘advanced 3D Bang and Olufsen sound system’, but we also opted for the enhanced off-road modes on the ANIMA controls, which means our Urus is now prepared for all driving conditions. Finally, we chose the enhanced top down reversing camera function that will enable all of our future customers to park easily.

After the car was fully unveiled and we had a chance to walk around and admire our latest addition, we then heard the thunderous exhausts of our Urus for the first time when it was started up and manoeuvred outside. After some more photography and videography from our guests, director and social media partners it was loaded onto our trailer and transported to our sister company Pearce Protect, ready for the next stages. Our social media partners both made videos of our collection day that came out really well and can be found on YouTube or here and here. However, this is only just the beginning of our Urus journey! A blog will shortly be posted on Pearce Protect’s website outlining all the changes and enhancements that the car is currently going through to ensure it’s in the best condition possible for it’s first customers!
