GRIDSERVE BEGINS CONSTRUCTION OF GATWICK ELECTRIC FORECOURT
GRIDSERVE, the electric vehicle infrastructure company founded in 2017, has begun construction work on its new Electric Forecourt at London Gatwick Airport.
The new site is located on the Ring Round South approach to Gatwick’s South Terminal, adjacent to the M23. When completed, the site will be offer 36 EV charging points with high-power chargers that can deliver up to 350kW.
GRIDSERVE CEO Toddington Harper is pleased that a launch date in the summer of 2023 is now within sight.
“Whilst timelines have not been without their challenges, we are targeting delivery of the Gatwick Electric Forecourt in summer 2023,” he said.
“Visitors will find an outstanding customer experience for those making electric journeys to and from one of the country’s most important transport destination. We look forward to welcoming you to our latest Electric Forecourt as soon as possible next year.”
The GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourt will offer customers a comfortable waiting lounge with superfast WiFi, a convenience store, children’s play area and an educational space.
The site will be supplied with 100% renewable net zero carbon energy generated by the company’s hybrid solar farm.
