FREDDIE FLINTOFF JOINED BY TAYCE IN EV HIRE’S PORSCHE TAYCAN TURBO S TO SUPPORT MANCHESTER PRIDE
Cricket legend Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff and Drag Race UK star Tayce drove around Manchester city centre in EV Hire’s Porsche Taycan Turbo S to support Manchester Pride on Saturday August the 27th.
Glasgow-based digital agency Big Partnership, who have offices in Manchester, approached EV Hire to rent a luxury electric vehicle for the campaign on behalf of Booking.com, which saw the former England cricket captain join Tayce, who finished runner-up in the second series of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, for a tour of the city.
The duo stopped at the inclusive Village Manchester Football Club and drove down Alan Turing Way to recognise Manchester’s diverse communities.
Booking.com, who was a lead sponsor of the 2022 Manchester Pride, had decorated EV Hire’s all-white Porsche Taycan Turbo S in a rainbow livery for the occasion.
Freddie Flintoff, who piloted the 751bhp supercar which can accelerate from 0 – 60 mph in less than 2.5 seconds, was delighted to able to support Manchester Pride with Tayce.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Flintoff, who was part of the 2005 Ashes-winning England team, said:
“It’s no secret that I love Manchester, so it’s great to be part of this year’s Pride celebrations. It’s been a real eye-opener working with Booking.com and learn about the restrictions felt by the LBGTQ+ community when it comes to feeling welcome and safe when going on holiday.
“I’m a big champion of being yourself and feeling comfortable in your own skin and that’s what this weekend is all about. Spending the day with Tayce was ace…it’s not often that you get to hang out with such an iconic drag queen!”
Tayce was equally delighted to be spending time at Manchester Pride with Booking.com.
