EV Hire's Porsche Taycan Turbo S Stars at CarFest 2023
EV Hire’s Porsche Taycan Turbo S was present at CarFest over the Bank Holiday weekend where it formed part of a display by BOTB, the UK’s leading luxury car competition company.
CarFest took place at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire and is hosted by radio presenter and TV personality Chris Evans, himself a keen car enthusiast who once owned one of the world’s best-known collections of Ferraris. The 2,500-acre farm is owned by 1979 Formula 1 world champion Jody Schecter. The ex-Ferrari driver acquired the farm after he retired from racing to pursue his goal of creating a farming environment that would combine 21st century agricultural science with the most environmentally friendly farming methods available.
CarFest has been held annually since 2012, apart from COVID-affected 2020, with the objective of celebrating automotive culture alongside raising funds for Children in Need and other charities. The event combines car displays and track driving with live music performances and a steam fair. Since its inception, CarFest has raised over £20 million for its charity partners.
Amongst the acts appearing at CarFest 2023 were McFly, Razorlight, Rick Parfitt Jnr, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, The Feeling and The Bootleg Beatles.
